The Vampire Diaries Season 4 Episode 4 Review

Following last week’s episode and its revelations and the questions it sparked concerning “The Five” the CW was able to give the audience another epic episode of the Vampire action drama. This week’s episode was conveniently named “The Five”. In this episode, the audience was taken on a thrill ride back in time, in the 12th century. They also witnessed Elena as she was losing total control over her heart and body and we saw a clear connection linking the new mentor of Bonnie and Connor. It was really an eventful episode as we also saw Stefan in an alliance with Klaus, Rebekah taking a stake and the beheading of a hybrid. It was another amazing episode of The Vampire Diaries.

Stefan had to go through hell, as he had to deal with Satan, according to Klaus so he can save Elena from going through the pain of committing her first kill. This was very sweet yet rational from Stefan. Of course, Damon was caught up in the moment as he spent most of his time dancing, drinking and raving. Stefan on the other hand was well aware of the big picture beyond all of this and he was always thinking ahead as if it was a game of chess. He knew that eventually, Elena will have to make her 1st kill and she will have to stop being human in order to be able to do it and she will lose herself forever. This is why he had to strike that deal with Klaus so he can cure her before that happens.
