The Chicago Code

The Chicago Code

One of the more lamentable casualties of the 2010/2011 season has to be FOX’s “The Chicago Code.”

The Chicago Code is a drama series from FOX. It is a story of some cops who are trying to bring down a corrupt politician. The series actually earned a loyal following and some good reviews and praises for the 113 episode Season 1. The sad thing is the fans, the great reviews and the critical praises are all not enough to get a Season 2 from the network.

The series takes the viewers in a suspense and exciting life of the cops. The series follows the lives of the officers of the Chicago Police Department as they work to fight crimes on the streets and at the same time trying to expose corruption within the politics in the city. The special unit assigned to fight the political is led by Veteran Chicago Police Detective Jarek Wysocki. The job was assigned to him by his superior, the first female Chicago Police Superintendent, Teresa Colvin, who happened to be Wysocki’s former lover.

Members of the special unit include a Wysocki’s newest partner, Caleb Ever, who happens to be a very young detective. As they fight the crimes on the streets of Chicago with other officers, an undercover cop, Chris Collie, work to get information on the Irish mob, Hugh Killian. They believe that Killian has a deep connection in the corruption. The main suspect in the spreading of corruption in the city is a very influential and powerful Chicago politician, Alderman Ronin Gibbons.

Generally, the series is a very good one, with a good plot, a great story line, superb actors and a very optimistic creator. Not to mention a very loyal following that is patiently waiting for the announcement on any possibility of a Season 2.
