Revenge – Season 1

Revenge is drama series aired by ABC. This dramatic series has a story taken from the novel The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. The TV version stars Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe and it premiered on September 21, 2011 and airs every Wednesday night.

Madeleine Stowe plays the character of Victoria Grayson, the series chief antagonist. The story begins with Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) spending summer to the Hamptons. She rented a house adjacent the home of the Grayson family. On the outside it was as though Emily was just there to enjoy a bright summer. In truth, she was for something, revenge.

Emily had been to the Hamptons before, she is actually Amanda Clarke and her father was imprisoned for life for a crime he did not commit, and he eventually died. Emily was separated with her father and she was never to see him again.

And so, she’s back to the Hamptons, renting her former home, to take revenge on the people who have framed up her father and the person at the top of her list is no other than new neighbor, Victoria Grayson.

Long time ago, Victoria was Emily’s father love. In the end, though Victoria betrayed Emily’s father. And Emily will make her pay for that and all the sorrows she has bestowed on the father and his child.

Emily’s plans include getting into the circle of things and she can only do that if she can penetrate the upper society where the people she hated the most mingle around. What she did not plan though is getting herself emotional involved with the people and the circumstances.

Revenge Season 1 Episode 13

Episode 13 ends with Emily keen, more than even, to get her plans working. She has created havoc to the elite society and has been involved with the deceits, leis and rumors hanging in the air. But for Emily/Amanda, it’s not over yet.
