Person of Interest is a TV crime drama series from CBS and it is inspired from a screenplay written by Jonathan Nolan and J. J. Abrams. The series premiered on September 22, 2011 and is scheduled for a full 22 episode season.

The series stars Michael Emerson as the mysterious billionaire Mr. Finch, who cleverly developed a computer program that will allow the government to prevent another 9/11 tragedy. Along eth way he also discovered that the program can be used to prevent other crimes by predicting the people who will be get involved in future crimes.

Other casts include: Jim Caviesel, who played Jesus Christ in The Passion of the Christ, as John Reese, a homeless man who happens to be a former U.S. Army Special Forces soldier and CIA field agent, Taraji P. Henson as Detective Carter a female NYPD detective who is determined to find Reese, Kevin Chapman as Detective Lionel Fusco a corrupt cop who becomes Reese’ source inside the police department and who becomes a big assets to Reese and Finch.

The story begins with Mr. Finch developing the program for the government and discovering that crimes can be prevented because he can identify the people who will be committing them or who will be possible victims through their Social Security numbers. Finch is a reclusive billionaire who requires the help of an expert to do the job that he cannot do. So he hired former government agent who was presumed dead, John Reese.

John Reese on the other hand becomes a homeless man after quitting his job when he lost his girlfriend to death and he became devastated with how the government he serves handled the situation. He agreed to work for Finch and eventually blackmails Detective Fusco to be his eye inside the police department. Reese also keeps crossing paths with Detective Carter who is determined to find out the real identity of Reese.
