Up All Night

Up All Night is a comedy TV series on NBC and it is created by Emily Spivey. The series premiered on September 14, 2011, then had a regular Wednesday timeslot that started September 21, 2011, and then was moved to Thursdays which started January 12, 2012. The series tells the story of Reagan, a wife and a new mother who returns to work after giving birth.

The series stars Christina Applegate of Samantha Who? as Reagan Brinkley, the new mom to baby Amy. Will Arnett plays the role of her husband Chris, Maya Rudolph (Saturday Night Live) as Reagan’s best friend Ava, and Jennifer Hall who plays Ava’s assistant Missy.

Up all Night follows the lives of Reagan and Chris as they try to deal with life as new parents to baby Amy. Reagan decides to go back to work as a producer for Ava’s talk show, The Ava Show, while Chris remains supportive as the stat-at-home husband.

Everything seems okay, until Reagan realizes that motherhood and career does not blend well together. Pressure at work begins to build up on her, not to mention she has to constantly deal with her self-centered celebrity best friend. Then ere comes, Missy who needs to keep reminding Reagan about how easy going life was for Chris and her before Amy came.

So to prove that life still has some sort of a balance for her and her family, she tries to show that she can be the ideal, wife, mom and career woman. But that is not an easy thing to do, and Reagan eventually goes out of control. Good thing realizes, before its too late, that it is simply not possible to have it all and that her first priority now is Amy. And that everything and everyone else, including Chris, should give way for their new baby.
