New Girl – Season 1 Episode 6 (Thanksgiving)

This episode of New Girl, a new character is introduced, Paul, played by Justin Long, who joins the cast for this great Thanksgiving episode.

Jess is out on the stage with her costume and talking to Paul. She learns that he spends his Thanksgiving at his Nana’s house; she recently died though, so jess got the idea of inviting him to the apartment to celebrate Thanksgiving with her and the boys.

The boys are not too excited about having a big dinner though but Jess assures them that she’s preparing everything and they will be having Paul for dinner. The boys have no idea who Paul is, but they are sure going to find out.

Jess starts making dinner and Schmidt decided to take over. Paul arrives and Jess introduced him to the gang and Cece. Jess leaves the gang to freshen up. Jess specifically asked Nick to be nice to Paul.

Cece went to the kitchen and helps herself to the walnuts that Schmidt is going to use. He freaks out when he sees Cece touching the walnuts without washing her hands. Now he needs more walnuts. Nick and Paul went out to buy walnuts and Nick find out that Paul is a dork.

Back at the house, everything is ruined; the turkey is burned and the house is full of smoke, and of course Nick is not overjoyed with Paul. Since jess has the key to the next door apartment and the owner is out of town, they decided to borrow her kitchen.

Nick and Jess then starts to argue about Paul, they said a lot of things and then here comes Winston to tell them that they can all hear the argument.

Before they start on dinner, Paul discovers a dead body on the bathroom. It’s the neighbor; she was not able to go out of town and died in her bathroom.

But that’s not the end of jess and Paul’s first date. Paul decides that he wants to see more of Jess.
