Terra Nova Episode 5- Bylaw

The show starts off with a bang as one of the people gets killed by a dinosaur. Jim immediately spots that someone has placed the dinosaur in the outpost in order to kill the person that is coming. He does a little research and it leads him to the girlfriend of the deceased. However, it turns out that she is married and as her husband comes in he confesses to killing the man.

Terra Nova Colony

This brings about a hard decision that Taylor must make as he has stated that people would be banished from the colony for issues and he is saddened that problems like this have followed them to this new land. Through the investigation, Jim discovers that his son Josh has taken a job at the bar, which he is upset about. In the end, the two make up with the promise of no more secrets in their family.

Howard Miller

With the sentence of banishment being put upon Howard Miller, Jim decides to dig a little deeper and discovers that the man only confessed because he thought his wife had killed him and he wanted to take her place. The wife did not do it though and they take Boylan, the owner of the bar into custody as the man who died owed Boylan a large amount of money from bets. As it turns out though, one of the other soldiers owed the man a large sum and with a little trickery they are able to get the soldier to admit to the murder, to which he is banished and Howard is allowed back in.
